In Germany, 3 pm is kaffee klatsch time. This is the time of day girlfriends relax, catch up, sip a special coffee, and nibble on cookie.
To have your own kaffee klatsch, invite three to four friends. Plan on enough coffee to make at least 2 large cups per person. You can serve black coffee with a side of steamed or frothy milk, sugar, cinnamon sticks, whipped cream, cocoa powder, and flavored syrups. Or serve specialty drinks such as Black Forest Latte or Midnight Star Coffee Cocktail.
